White Bean Hummus Recipe – Make a Creamy, Nutritious Dip

If you are looking for an easy healthy recipe to make with the ingredients in your kitchen then White Bean Hummus is something that you should try. Traditionally humus is made with chick peas, but canellini beans are just as healthy with more fiber and protein per serving. The cannellini bean is actually another popular white bean, next to peas, and has a very smooth and creamy flavor. In fact, it is one of the best humus alternatives, and can be used in place of chick peas in any recipe calling for chick peas. It’s good for what could possible be any other vegetable on the menu, and the texture is close to creamy, while retaining a smooth texture.

This delicious and easy to make dip can be made with almost any vegetables you like, though I prefer to use garlic, chopped fresh parsley, and a lemon to give it a nice flavor. If you are not a big fan of garlic or the smell of garlic, then simply eliminate it from the recipe. You can also use a fresh sprig of fresh parsley to top it off as well. To make it a little bit more interesting, you can add some fresh tahini, which is sold in most health food stores.

This is a delicious and easy to make summertime white bean hummus recipe. You’ll need white beans (cooked), Olive Oil, two tablespoons of tahini, and one teaspoon of garlic. Combine all of your ingredients, check the mixture and determine if it needs more of something or kosher salt to increase its taste. Put all ingredients to a blender and blend till smooth. Add some water and olive oil for blending.

You can also add some chickpeas to this, spices and blend in with the white beans. Different alternatives can also be red pepper hummus, green pea and I’ve even made beetroot and bean hummus! So good.

Other popular Mediterranean ingredients that play a vital role in the preparation of this tasty dip are fresh chopped dukkah and garlic. The dukkah can be obtained from the fresh pressed olives that are available in the market. However, you can also use the roasted ones that you can get in any store. Likewise, garlic can be either fresh or roasted. A combination of these two culinary heavy hitters will surely create a heavenly flavor in your drink.
