Healthy Meals That Bring Rewards

The best way to start cooking is with healthy meals that you can prepare anytime of the week. Healthy meals with easy ingredients, kid Approved and simple enough meal recipes for beginning cooks. During the 8 year history of running this site, have formulated lots of easy-to-make healthy meals that you could feed your whole family:

This is one of the healthy meals with a healthy twist that I’ve enjoyed ever since I was a child. It has fish, and shrimp balls in it; and I mean all of them, in their all-natural, fresh form from the sea. It’s a quick meal and a healthy one too. You’ll need to cook the shrimp and fish in olive oil, not margarine, as it will end up greasing the dish. For the spaghetti, you’ll just need tomato sauce, broccoli florets, chopped zucchini, red bell pepper, onion, and garlic.

For the family dinner, this is a good start to healthy meals for beginning cooks, even if you’ve been indulging in junk food lately. This is a family dinner that the whole family will love: chicken fried steak, spaghetti, baked potato and soda bread. Use low-fat sour cream instead of the full-fat mayonnaise; add some shredded cheese for that extra flavor and texture; eat the spaghetti with the chicken fried steak and a side of vegetables. For dessert, make an easy dessert of baked apples.

For the first of the healthy meals for beginning cooks, this recipe calls for some cooked white rice. To add flavor, toss in a bit of hot sauce (your own or from a store-bought jar), garlic, onions, carrots, and green beans. You may want to add canned peas or beans to the mix to get that added zip of protein. You can flavor the rice with a bit of salsa or cilantro, too, to give it that extra kick.

For a snacktime fix, roast some potatoes and load them up with a variety of tasty flavors: garlic, onions, bell peppers, olives, and a bit of black pepper. For a great lunchtime recipe, try roasted potatoes smothered in a sausage and pepper sausage mixture. For dinner, this is a wonderful way to incorporate vegetables into your diet; you can bake the potato at home or make it into a delicious soup. If you like the roasted potato omelet more than the original, add a bit of sour cream to give it that creamy texture.

Another healthy meal idea is to have a full salad with a roasted vegetable as the main ingredient; add some fresh baby tomatoes and some radishes for that sharp crunch. Another good option is frozen spinach; it’s packed with nutrients, particularly vitamin A. Fresh frozen broccoli is another great option, especially in the summer time, when you need that dose of Vitamin A to fight off the harmful rays of the sun. Another healthy meal idea is leftover pasta – make your own fresh pasta in a bowl, add a little olive oil and basil (remember to add the chopped rosemary if you have), toss in a whole bunch of chopped mushrooms and parmesan cheese for that fresh Italian flavor. Other great foods to try are leftover turkey, leftover hamburgers, leftover pork chops, leftover sweet potatoes, and so on.
