If there are onions, green chilies, and garlic in your cupboards? you can include them. If you do not have green chilies, cilantro, and onions, use green onions. If you do not like garlic, do not use it. If you do not have green chilies, add dried red pepper flakes.

Then you just add your chicken and whatever else you have on hand.
If you do not like garlic, you can also use onion. Just make sure that you use a good grade of onion, because if you use an onion with a strong flavor, it will overwhelm the chicken and the overall taste of the soup. And to avoid this, use a good meat bouillon instead of using broth. This way, you will still get the wonderful flavor of the broth, but you will keep the onion and the garlic out of the way.
